Danse Macabre Print Series at Tap&Barrel
I have the pleasure of showing my work at an awesome craft beer bar in Smithtown, NY. The whole print series is on view and is priced the same as my solo show. Unframed prints are $10.00 each and large oval stickers for $2.00. If you didn’t catch my solo show this would be a great place to see the work in person! Also Tap&Barrel has amazing beer selection and all sorts of events nightly!

Illustrating Music
On May 20th from 6-10pm at the Living Gallery I will be having a popup solo show
Three series will be presented which each interpret music from different centuries.
The Unquiet Grave is an English folk song of unknown authorship from the 15th century in which a young man mourns the death of his love which prevents her soul from resting. My version is based on the David Pajo rendition from 2001 and changes the love object in the song to the man’s child. Follow the link below to listen to the song:
Danse Macabre Op. 40 is a tone poem composed by Camille Saint-Saëns in 1874. Danse Macabre was inspired by an old French superstition where Death rises from the underworld to enchant the dead. He plays the fiddle causing their corpses to rise from the grave and dance to sing song. My interpretation disregards the superstition and supposes that Death appears at a ball to claim the soul of a young girl. Follow the link below to listen to the song:
Golden Age: Documents two Dutch characters, Hedy and Quince during their life in the Dutch Golden Age of painting (1700’s). Each work is inspired by classical Dutch painting which portray different scenes of everyday life from that time period.
